The Scorpion™ winter was designed for modern Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV) and Crossover Utility Vehicles (CUV) and was developed especially for the high-end segment. What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Smooth ride
Had these through a full season now. Wear is minimal and performance hasn't dropped. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Holds well in snow and slush.
