Speed-Grip 3 – a winter tyre built for safe cold-season driving
A considerable number of shoulder blocks with a large number of large shoulder cross grooves increases the number of grip edges*. This results in increased snow-snow friction in the shoulder cross grooves, providing more grip on snow and thus shortening the braking distance on snow-covered surfaces.
*Compared to the predecessor
Unique technology makes this tyre so safe: three snow hooks placed in each shoulder cross groove give the tread additional grip edges and thus superb snow sidewall guidance. In this way, safety is increased when cornering on snow.

Numerous wiping edges displace the water film from the tread. This improves ice grip and shortens braking distances on icy surfaces.

Good, not perfect
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Speed-Grip 3 genuinely surprised me.

Decent for the price
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Stable and precise in summer heat. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
