The Sumitomo WT 200's horizontal tread grooves with sipes is perfectly designed to pick up snow. Because snow adheres best to snow, this results in improved grip on snowy roads. On wet or slushy roads, the liquid can run off to the side via the transverse channels. This reduces the risk of skidding in the wet.

Very quiet on tarmac. The WT200 made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Early days, but first impressions are very good.
