What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Confidence in corners
Third car I've run on Arivo. Consistent quality every time. Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set.

Fair tyre for the money
Good all-season tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable.

Handles well
Fitted before a long road trip. Comfortable at motorway speeds and felt safe in heavy rain. Fine for the price.

Recommended
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable all-season tyre without overspending. Had them fitted last month.

A step up from my old set
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Fitted them at a mate's garage. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year.
