What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Atlas delivers again
Very quiet on tarmac. The Polarbear HP made my commute noticeably more relaxed. They're okay. Stable and precise in summer heat. Not the last word in steering feel.

Okay for everyday driving
Good summer tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Comfortable over rough surfaces. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
