What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Solid summer tyre
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Ordered online, fitted locally. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Very happy with these
Balanced and predictable. Exactly how a tyre should feel. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Good all-rounder
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Stable and precise in summer heat. Not the last word in steering feel.
