Description

Live winter to the fullest

Make the most out of winter with the Firestone Winterhawk 4. This new generation winter tyre delivers optimal control and handling in cold and unpredictable conditions. Designed for a safe and cost-efficient ride, the Winterhawk 4 will keep you in control on winter roads. The tread pattern relies on unique sipes, grooves and angular edges to attain traction on snow, while the innovative compound and tread design help the tyre stop 4% faster on wet roads than its predecessor.

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Worth the money
Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Not the last word in steering feel.

Good grip in the wet
Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Not the last word in steering feel.

A step up from my old set
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted.

No complaints so far
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Winterhawk 4 grips well on dry roads.

Smooth ride
Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. Fitted them at a mate's garage. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
