Description

CW51 – a winter tyre built for safe cold-season driving

For transporters, vans and caravans
Improved performance on dry and wet roads
Excellent grip and handling in snow conditions
Reinforced profile blocks
3D-slats in the shoulder area
Symmetric profile design

Certified for severe winter conditions (3PMSF alpine symbol)
M+S marking for mud and snow

When temperatures drop, the winter compound and fine siping take over: reliable traction on snow, stable handling in slush and short braking distances in the cold.

Like all tyres in our range, this model meets the applicable European safety and labelling standards and is produced under strict quality control.

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Happy with the purchase
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far. Third car I've run on Kumho. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Fitted and forgotten
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Fitted them at a mate's garage. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Good, not perfect
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The CW51 grips well on dry roads. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Smooth ride
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set.

All-round good pick
Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Stable and precise in summer heat.
