Fair tyre for the money
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
Fine tyre, minor niggles
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.
Solid choice
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Switched from a budget brand to the Pilot Alpin 5 — the difference in braking is obvious.
Okay for everyday driving
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet. Very quiet on tarmac. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
Quiet and comfortable
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The Pilot Alpin 5 punches above its weight. Not the last word in steering feel.
Fine tyre, minor niggles
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Pilot Alpin 5 grips well on dry roads. Balanced and predictable. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
