M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Switched from a budget brand to the Pilot Alpin 5 SUV — the difference in braking is obvious. Holds well in snow and slush.
