Nokian Tyres Snowproof 2 is a safe and reliable premium winter tire for Central European passenger car drivers. The tire’s most important feature is outstanding winter safety in all conditions, resulting in outstanding performance on snow, slush, and rain. Whether you drive on speedy autobahns, busy urban traffic, or scenic Alpine roads, driving feels controlled and predictable.

The Alpine Sense Grip 2.0 consists of a new, V-shaped tread pattern, 3D siping and Alpine Grip 2.0 compound. The tread design effectively removes snow and slush from between the tire and the road while the tailored, 3D siping ensures superb lateral and longitudinal grip. The Alpine Grip 2.0 compound tackles the demanding and cold winter conditions, while offering superb performance in milder weather. It responds reliably to the rise and drop of temperature, as the compound stays flexible and grippy in a wide condition range. The new compound also comes with high silica content, which results in a better wet grip. The rolling resistance is also on a premium level, which generates energy savings and reduces harmful emissions.

To provide maximum comfort and first-class safety, the tread area of the tire is divided into two functional zones. The Dual Zone Safety concept consists of the Grip Zone, which guarantees impressive winter grip, and the Handling Zone, which offers control and stability. Designed to prevent dangerous aquaplaning, the Hydroflow Grooves on the tread will effectively remove water and slush from between the tire and the road.

What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
