The Sumitomo WT 200's horizontal tread grooves with sipes is perfectly designed to pick up snow. Because snow adheres best to snow, this results in enhanced grip on snowy roads. On wet or slushy roads, the liquid can run off to the side via the transverse channels. This reduces the risk of skidding in the wet.

Trusted Sumitomo quality
Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Very quiet on tarmac. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Better than expected
Switched from a budget brand to the WT200 — the difference in braking is obvious. Does exactly what a summer tyre should. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
