What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.

Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Great value for money
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Good in town and on the motorway alike. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
