The Toyo Tires Open Country AT3 was developed for 4x4 and SUV vehicles capable of running off-road on a variety of surface conditions. Equipped with the Three Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol (3PMSF), the off-road tyre is suitable to be used all year round. The robust new design, prevents damages through stones and the low noise enables a comfortable ride on every surface. This makes the Open Country AT III an essential companion for drivers that want to enjoy the ride on- and off the road all year long.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Good value, though the sidewall is softer than my previous set. Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Very quiet on tarmac. The Open Country A/T III made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Wet braking is excellent.

Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Good balance of comfort and handling. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
