As a summer tyre, the Proxes Sport 2 is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Worth the money
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
