What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Great value for money
Second set of Vredestein on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here.

Solid choice
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Wet braking is excellent. Holds well in snow and slush.

Would recommend to anyone after a dependable winter tyre without overspending.

Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Wintrac Pro+ genuinely surprised me.
