As a summer tyre, the Geolandar X-CV G057 is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Handles well
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Geolandar X-CV G057 genuinely surprised me. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.

Decent tyre at a fair price. Tread pattern clears water well. Does the job, nothing more. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Very quiet on tarmac. The Geolandar X-CV G057 made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Switched from a budget brand to the Geolandar X-CV G057 — the difference in braking is obvious.
