What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Seal: Self-sealing technologyA sealing layer inside the tyre can close certain small punctures in the tread area. Its limits vary by manufacturer and a damaged tyre should still be inspected.

The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
