What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.
Seal: Self-sealing technologyA sealing layer inside the tyre can close certain small punctures in the tread area. Its limits vary by manufacturer and a damaged tyre should still be inspected.

Fitted and forgotten
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Not the last word in steering feel.

Worth the money
Does the job, nothing more. For daily commuting it's perfectly fine. Early days, but first impressions are very good. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
