With the new UltraContact, Continental therefore now offers a summer tyre with very high mileage and the usual safety standards. To achieve this, the tyre developers have redesigned the compound and tread to combine maximum mileage with safe driving characteristics, low rolling resistance and low noise emission.

Good, not perfect
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The UltraContact grips well on dry roads. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Pleasantly surprised
Switched from a budget brand to the UltraContact — the difference in braking is obvious. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.

Fine for the price. Slightly more road noise than I hoped on coarse asphalt. Fitted them at a mate's garage.
