What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Pleasantly surprised
Brakes hard and straight, no pulling. Very reassuring. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Trusted Falken quality
Good in town and on the motorway alike. Versatile tyre. Very quiet on tarmac.

Great on the motorway
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Switched from a budget brand to the Euroallseason AS-220 PRO — the difference in braking is obvious. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
