What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Would buy again
Switched from a budget brand to the Multiseason 2 — the difference in braking is obvious. Ordered online, fitted locally. Nice not having to swap tyres twice a year. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Quality you can feel
Good tyre overall. Would have liked a bit more feedback through the steering. Bought a full set of Firestone for the family car.

Does the job well
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. Wear looks even and grip is consistent. Comfortable over rough surfaces. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
