What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Okay for everyday driving
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO genuinely surprised me. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Does what it says
Had them fitted last month. Wet grip is confidence-inspiring and they look the part too. Holds well in snow and slush. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
