What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Nice upgrade
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair.

Great value for money
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it.

Solid choice
Second set of Headway on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Balanced and predictable. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Does the job well
My mechanic recommended Headway and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these.

Reliable summer rubber. No surprises, which is exactly what I want. Stable and precise in summer heat.
