What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Does the job well
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since.

Pleasantly surprised
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring.

Nankang delivers again
For this price I didn't expect much, but the AW-6 Cross Seasons genuinely surprised me. Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Coped fine with a light snowfall in early spring. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

Good all-rounder
Bought a full set of Nankang for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain.
