What the tyre markings mean
- XL
- Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
- M+S

Worth the money
Put these on two months ago and the car feels noticeably more planted. The Winter Sottozero 3 grips well on dry roads.

Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in.
