The Sumitomo WT 200's horizontal tread grooves with sipes is perfectly designed to pick up snow. Because snow adheres best to snow, this results in enhanced grip on snowy roads. On wet or slushy roads, the liquid can run off to the side via the transverse channels. This reduces the risk of skidding in the wet.

Strong performer
Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. Comfortable over rough surfaces. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Switched from a budget brand to the WT200 — the difference in braking is obvious. Ordered online, fitted locally. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.
