Proxes R 888-R – balanced summer performance for warm and wet conditions
- Less negative profile for more grip and traction
- Central tread groove for improved cooling and noise control
- Reinforced XL construction for higher load capacity
In the summer months this tyre delivers precise steering response and confident grip on dry asphalt. Wide drainage channels help resist aquaplaning when it rains.
Like all tyres in our range, this model meets the applicable European safety and labelling standards and is produced under strict quality control.

Toyo delivers again
Good tyre overall. Would have liked a bit more feedback through the steering.

Decent for the price
Handles standing water better than my previous set. Feel much safer in autumn rain. A sensible buy. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
- Marco G.02.10.20254.0 / 5
Strong performer
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The Proxes R 888-R punches above its weight. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Not the last word in steering feel.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
For this price I didn't expect much, but the Proxes R 888-R genuinely surprised me. Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
- Chiara L.21.07.20254.0 / 5
Recommended
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. My mechanic recommended Toyo and he was right. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.
