As a summer tyre, the S.drive AS01 is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

Good all-rounder
Grip when pulling away on wet junctions is much better than my old tyres. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch.

Okay for everyday driving
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. My mechanic recommended Yokohama and he was right. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
