Proxes R 888-R – balanced summer performance for warm and wet conditions
- Less negative profile for more grip and traction
- Central tread groove for enhanced cooling and noise control
- Reinforced XL construction for higher load capacity
As a summer tyre, the Proxes R 888-R is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.
Like all tyres in our range, this model meets the applicable European safety and labelling standards and is produced under strict quality control.

Does the job well
Steering response improved straight away after fitting. Very pleased. Brakes hard and straight, no pulling.
- Sabine W.02/11/20264.0 / 5
Solid summer tyre
Bought a full set of Toyo for the family car. Comfortable ride and no drama in the rain. Had them fitted last month. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Impressed so far
A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Reliable summer rubber.
- Jan M.09/29/20253.0 / 5
Does what it says
Good summer tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable.
- Matteo K.08/18/20254.0 / 5
Fine tyre, minor niggles
Second set of Toyo on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. Driven about 3,000 km on these so far. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
