Description

Designed for winter, charged by experience.

Why choose this tyre

Good snow performance

Small details come together to make a great experience. The modern design and innovative V pattern were created to maximize grip on snowy roads. Our special tread design, with intelligent groove arrangement and new Snaqua pocket technology brings exceptionally precise control and stability as you navigate winter challenges.

Low rolling resistance

POLARIS 6 is designed with a special rubber formula that makes your drive smoother and helps save fuel or battery power by reducing rolling resistance. Next winter, you will find that quality and efficiency can also be affordable.

High Mileage

The long-lasting tread pattern and precision grooves promise that your POLARIS 6 tyre is not just for one winter season. Good things last a long time – a feeling that will accompany you on your winter travels.

We make you ready for e-mobility

Our EV-compatible symbol confirms that the tire meets the requirements of electric vehicles as well as cars with combustion or hybrid engines.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

Quality you can feel
Bought on price, staying for the quality. The Polaris 6 punches above its weight. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Trusted Barum quality
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate.

Trusted Barum quality
Second set of Barum on this car. The last ones wore well, expecting the same here. They're okay. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
