What the tyre markings mean

M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
EV: Suitable for electric vehiclesThis tyre is optimised for the weight, torque, rolling resistance and noise requirements of electric and hybrid vehicles. The marking does not mean that it can only be used on an EV.

A sensible buy. Not sporty, but safe and quiet. Bought on price, staying for the quality. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama. Could be a touch quieter on rough tarmac.

Comfortable over rough surfaces. My old set used to thump over every bump. The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Felt secure on icy morning roads. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.
