What the tyre markings mean

RFT: Run-flat technologyReinforced sidewalls can permit limited continued driving after a loss of pressure. The permitted speed and distance depend on the manufacturer; a pressure monitoring system is normally required.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

A step up from my old set
Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Early days, but first impressions are very good. No squirm even on hot asphalt.
