What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Very happy with these
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far.

Would buy again
Braking in the wet feels a touch longer than my old premium set, but at this price it's fair. Good balance of comfort and handling. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Does what it says
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Does exactly what a summer tyre should.

All-round good pick
Good balance of comfort and handling. Would buy again. Took a few hundred km to bed in.

All-round good pick
The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these. Switched from a budget brand to the SportContact 5 — the difference in braking is obvious. Stable and precise in summer heat.

Does what it says
Ordered online, fitted locally. The tyres themselves have been faultless so far. Balanced and predictable. Stable and precise in summer heat.
