Description

ContiSportContact™ 5 P – designed for sports and high-performance vehicles.

It is the latest development from the experts at Continental. A high performance tyre that combines maximum safety and driving pleasure for sporty, tuning vehicles.

Handling:

With precise steering and maximum grip under all conditions, the ContiSportContact™ 5 P puts you in total control of your vehicle.

Stability:

Whichever road you're on, the tyre adapts perfectly to its surface – especially during fast cornering.

Braking:

Continental’s innovative Black Chili Technology guarantees that the ContiSportContact™ 5 P doesn't only go fast - it stops fast too.

The tyre features the SSR system (Self-Supporting Run-Flat Tyre). Should a puncture occur, you can continue to drive up to 80 kilometres, at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, by modifying your driving style. Only possible with a functionable air pressure check system.

Excellent grip and stability during cornering
Short braking distances on both wet and dry roads
Optimised to meet the specific requirements of front and rear axle positions
Ideal steering precision and sporty handling

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
RFT: Run-flat technologyReinforced sidewalls can permit limited continued driving after a loss of pressure. The permitted speed and distance depend on the manufacturer; a pressure monitoring system is normally required.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Handles well
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate.

Solid choice
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Decent tyre at a fair price. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
