Description

The high-performance winter tyre for challenging road conditions offers outstanding grip on snowy, wet and dry roads. The Snow-Catcher-Technology is a special arrangement of the tread grooves in the middle area. This compresses the snow and provides an optimal basis for good grip. The "Bubble Blade" composite slat technology enables outstanding winter performance with good profile stability at the same time.

Outstanding control on snow
Strong dry performance on winter roads
High mileage

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.

Reliable winter rubber
Good winter tyre for the money. Rolling noise is low and braking feels predictable. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Fine tyre, minor niggles
Third car I've run on Fulda. Consistent quality every time. The car feels more stable in crosswinds since fitting these.

Handles well
Solid everyday tyre. Nothing flashy, but it does everything I ask of it. For this price I didn't expect much, but the Kristall Control HP 2 genuinely surprised me. Felt secure on icy morning roads.

Okay for everyday driving
Wet braking is excellent. Gave me real confidence on a flooded motorway stretch. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.
