As a summer tyre, the Ecsta PS71 SUV is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

Good, not perfect
Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Tyres themselves are great. No squirm even on hot asphalt. Slightly firmer ride than I expected.

Smooth ride
Fitted them at a mate's garage. Straightforward job and they've been faultless since. Good tyre overall. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Fair tyre for the money
Decent tyre at a fair price. Tread pattern clears water well. Decent grip dry and wet, but they took a few hundred km to feel bedded in. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Grip in corners is reassuring and the steering feels a bit sharper than before. Stable and precise in summer heat. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
