As a summer tyre, the Proxes Sport 2 is tuned for warm conditions: a firm tread compound and a pattern built for stable dry handling and short braking distances. On wet roads the grooves channel water away quickly to keep the contact patch working.

What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Toyo delivers again
Ride comfort is the standout. Long journeys feel less tiring now. Fuel consumption seems slightly better since the switch. Stable and precise in summer heat. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Braking feels secure
Very quiet on tarmac. The Proxes Sport 2 made my commute noticeably more relaxed. Wet braking is excellent. No squirm even on hot asphalt.

Confidence in corners
My mechanic recommended Toyo and he was right. Quiet, stable, no complaints. Switched from a budget brand to the Proxes Sport 2 — the difference in braking is obvious. Stable and precise in summer heat. Took a few hundred km to bed in.
