What the tyre markings mean

XL: Reinforced tyre (XL)XL means Extra Load. The tyre is reinforced and can carry a higher load than a standard tyre of the same size. Always follow the vehicle's specified load index and tyre pressure.
M+S: Mud and Snow (M+S)M+S is a manufacturer's indication that the tread is intended to offer improved traction in mud and snow. By itself it is not the same as the tested 3PMSF winter certification.
3PMSF: Three-Peak Mountain SnowflakeThe mountain-and-snowflake symbol identifies a tyre that has passed a standardised severe-snow traction test. It is the recognised performance marking for winter conditions.
Rim protection: Rim protectionA raised rubber profile near the bead helps protect the rim edge from light kerb contact. It cannot prevent every type of wheel damage.

Handles well
Would recommend to anyone after a dependable winter tyre without overspending. Holds well in snow and slush. Nothing fancy, but fair for the price.

Solid winter tyre
Early days, but first impressions are very good. Smooth and quiet.

Solid choice
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Proper grip on packed snow, no wheelspin drama.

Good, not perfect
They're okay. Comfortable enough, but I expected a bit sharper turn-in. Holds well in snow and slush. Not the last word in steering feel.

Quality you can feel
Not the grippiest in hard cornering, but for normal driving they're more than adequate. Holds well in snow and slush.
